Sat Mar 2nd, just a week from today, is the date of this years  Flint Riverquarium’s annual Turtle Race !

Don’t worry, no real turtles or tortoises will be racing.

Thousands of rubber turtles will be dumped into the Riverquarium’s waterfall to see which one makes it down first. Adopt a turtle of 10 and if you could win prizes while raising money for the RiverQuarium and its many aquatic residents. First prize is $5,000. Sounds like fun.. I may also be wondering where I Can get myself a rubber turtle 🙂
