Gumby, the juvenile sea turtle, will be the 100th sea turtle rehabilitated and released into the wild by the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Program!

Gumby was found stranded on Kiawah Island, weighing only 6 lbs, with shell deformities among other serious health issues.  Now, only a year and a half later, the 40 lbs sea turtle will be released today.

Clearly the the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Program has a lot to be proud of.  100 turtles in 12 years rehabilitated and released.
