Sheldon approves of Joffrey.

I’ve reached the highest elevation. The view is magnificant. I fear, however, there are no noms in sight. Unsure what this means for our future expeditions. We may need to remain at the whim of human.

extra-special-herps:

Meet George the Hineback tortoise! The photo on the left was taken the day George arrived. He had metabolic bone disease (MBD), no muscles, a heavy parasite load and a whole range of problems caused by these things – like having no appetite. He couldnt walk well and the photo is actually of him trying walk! He couldn’t stand in the bath and struggled to eat with his overgrown, too soft beak. The photo on the right was taken during the summer – just a few months later. He’s much better now and is a healthy little chap. He still has a problem with a sensitive stomach thanks to the MBD and underneath he will still have problems with his bones/organs that will take far longer to heal than 10 months. But he’s a happy little chappy who loves his wormies and is also a proud daddy to Rusty!

aww! And you are a human that rules 😀

Please send good tortie wishes to our friend MoMo who is getting surgery today. MoMo was found on the side of the highway and has been with friend Sandy ever since. MoMo has a cleft pallet and no nostrils so eating is very hard for him. Today he is getting a feeding tube so he can have his dinner and be healthy. Good luck MoMo!

We’re way behind on life the last few weeks but we’re thinking about you Momo!

This is my kind of pet friendly emergency shelter.

A 10-year-old tortoise was among several pets rescued today as floods continue to bring misery across parts of the UK.

Algernon, one of three giant tortoises, was evacuated from a flooded cottage in Saltmoor, Somerset by his owner and the RSPCA.

The tortoise was a hit with the locals, after he was given a temporary home by the King Alfred pub in Burrowbridge.

Sometimes Oliver, my tortoise, is like free me human from my cage.

And I tell him “Oliver I’m turning off your light go to bed it’s late.”

And of course he’s in disagreement with this and will keep doing circles until he has his freedom.

So I’ll put him down, he wont even get one pass around the room before he finds a corner and goes to sleep.

I’ve decided I don’t need kids, my tortoise is enough to keep me on my toes.

Meet Turtle Tah , manager of her mama Yumiko and bandmate kotoripunk ’s band Buffalo Daughter! We older torties gotta be role models for the younger shells, remind them that turtles and tortoises can do anything!

The band has quality management, @Kotoripunk’s boys pillow and soprano sure look like they lend a helping ‘hand’ as well. see?

Let’s celebrate! It’s destiny! Right after I learn that I love collard greens, they go on sale!

Thank you Whole Foods for understanding my tortoise-needs.
