Meet my new fantastic ceramic tortie friend, Waxy! Citronella candle in a tortoise holder? WIN! Thanks D!! I LOVE IT!  (and yeah, I spilled some wax on him after using the candle for a while so it became clear his name should be waxy.). Cute, useful for lighting and keeping bugs away, and matches the theme of my garden (ahem life really) TORTOISE! YAY!

fortheloveofherpetology:

  • Can live more than 40 years
  • When hunting worms the wood turtle will thump the ground to make worms think it’s raining, which causes them to come up out of the ground to be eaten
