It was finally warm enough to let Gustav out in the yard this afternoon! I swear I could see the stars in his eyes.

Today’s menu: nothing but the freshest sprouts of clover, dandelions and wild geraniums!

I swear I have few photos of Little Dude actually caught off guard. He always turns to me and poses just like that. He’s my little model.

Yep! You’ve got quite the turtle star on your hands. Look at that mysterious look he’s got, those distinguished shell markings and the way he extends his neck in just the right way.. Born to be on camera!

The lid and hinges are hung, drainage pebbles laid in around perimeter, soil/sand mixture added, and shrubberies installed. Now we have to lay in mulch, add lighting, and install the lock. Then his hide, water and food dishes, and then we’re done!
