Guardian Animal Spirit Guide: TORTOISE/TURTLE

daughter-of-hecate-333:

When the pace of life becomes too hectic the turtle shows us how to slow down and go with the flow.

TURTLE MEDICINE

If turtle has crawled into your subconscious, it may carry the message to remain mobile and flexible in your spiritual walk and not to acquire more possessions that you need. The burden of possessions can slow our spiritual journey.

The turtle teaches us to accept the world we live in and to adapt to changes when needed.

If turtle comes with a message for you, it may be interpreted to mean that you should listen closely to your physical and spiritual senses, and vibrations and move slowly and cautiously to adapt.

When the turtle negotiates uneven terrain and its weight causes it to flip over onto its rounded shell, it uses its strong neck to right itself. This ability when communicated by messages from the turtle may be a sign to use the tools at your disposal to use your inner senses and knowledge to correct the problem when your life becomes upside down.

The turtle animal spirit guide teaches us about walking our path in peace and sticking to it with determination and serenity. Slow moving on earth, yet also incredibly fast and agile in water, those who have the turtle as animal spirit guide may be encouraged to take a break in their busy lives and look around or within themselves for more grounded, long lasting solutions. Traditionally, the turtle is symbolic of the way of peace, whether its inviting us to cultivate peace of mind or a peaceful relationship with our environment.

When Humom came home from her first chemo treatment on Monday, I was sure to be on my best support tortoise behavior.

First, I examined the owie the doctors left on humom’s arm ( the doctors made easy to find by covering it in nom colored material). After examining it for any hidden noms the docs might have accidentally used, and making sure it looked secure, I decided it best to kiss it and make it better.

I climbed around a bit to make sure nothing else needed an extra snuggle and noticed that humom looked pretty tired. I had also had a long day of basking and noming while she was gone, so I climbed up and nuzzled into her shoulder to take a nap. We had a good snuggle and nap till humom woke up and pointed that square thingie she types into all the time at us. It made a snappy noise that I usually hear during my pet star photo shoots. I tried to glare at it, but I was still pretty tired so it wasn’t my best side eye. Either way it was ok cause I think I made humom feel better and that’s what matters 🙂

Let Perseverance Be Your Engine And Hope Your Fuel!

lets just re-caption this a little: Let tortoises be your engine and their amazingness be your fuel.

thats way better.

Zoya is all dressed up for #MultipleSclerosis awareness week, thanks to @Jeffmusk ’s wig it up Wednesday!

Humom struggles with MS every day. This year, #MS awareness week started with some troubling test results for humom. Good thing Zoya’s got a tortie snuggle treatment plan in place (while the doctors try and do their own thing but we know tortie snuggles are the best treatment of all).

Zoya also hopes you spread the word about #MultipleSclerosis so we can find a cure and get  humom (and some of our close tortie friends humoms) better!

What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic, typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, whose symptoms may include numbness, impairment of speech and of muscular coordination, blurred vision, and severe fatigue.

According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the condition affects approximately 400,000 Americans and is, with the exception of trauma, the most frequent cause of neurological disability beginning in early to middle adulthood.

There is no cure for multiple sclerosis. Visit http://www.nationalmssociety.org/ to learn more, find resources, and join the fight for a cure!

BIG thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for Zoya and I! We won! Even more exciting, people are talking about non traditional therapy pets. Among the winners there were two tortoises! How cool is that? Also an awesome bunny and a kitty that looks like it just might have the side eye down pat. Very exciting!

Thank you thank you thank you! <3
