(The owner of the turtle with the overgrown beak just got him from a pet shop whose staff said he refused pellets and only ate boiled shrimp and chicken. It’s not poor care or neglect on the owner’s part, just in case anyone else was worried.)

Thanks for letting me know!! I hoped that was the case. A lot of awesome people on tumblr do rescue rehab work/ individual rescue care and I’m so happy to see/ be able to be a part of it in a way.  Glad he found a kind soul to care for him and love him like he deserves 🙂 For the record, I did not intend the previous response to be either accusatory or defensive. I think sharing info about over grown beaks and metabolic bone disease is really helpful all around.
