The Turtle

tenacioustortoise:

The turtle, oh the turtle;
he has rolled over onto his shell!
If we do not flip him;
the sun will give him hell!

The turtle, oh the turtle;
he is on the brink of death.
If we do not flip him;
these will be his dying breaths.

The turtle, oh the turtle;
baking in the sunlight.
It seems he has no hope;
but still he puts up a fight.

The turtle, oh the turtle;
it seems his never ending efforts have paid off;
for now he stands on his legs;
no longer having anything to fear.
All because he never gave up;
all because his efforts were sincere.

The turtle, oh the turtle;
is now free to live a normal life.
Without fear of death or strife.
For the turtle was able to roll back to his feet;
oh he did it all on his own.
For he never gave up, oh no he did not;
he simply kept trying, not losing his peppy attitude;
his happy-go-lucky tone.
For the turtle, he is a determined one;
never giving up – never letting go.
He’s similar to the mailman – nothing stops him;
not rain, nor sleet, nor snow.
